Jack Wintermute

Jack E. Wintermute  (1935 - 2012)
Mansfield, Ohio

 

Jack E. Wintermute, 76, passed away Sunday evening, March 11, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Mansfield following an extended illness. Born May 26, 1935 in Marion, he was the son of the late Edward and Mae (Bausman) Wintermute. Jack retired as a manager from Berthold-Grigsby after 44 years of service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Bellville Masonic Lodge #376 F. & A.M., Baku Grotto, and Moose Lodge #341. Jack was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. In his spare time, he and his wife, Ruth, loved traveling.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Ruth Courtney Wintermute; loving daughters and son-in-law, Judy Laubenthal and Karen (Jeff) Banks of Mansfield; sister-in-law, Betty Wintermute of Westerville; and two nieces, Dianna Wintermute of Dayton and Debra Wintermute of Hilliard.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Wintermute; and son-in-law, Paul Laubenthal.

The family would like to extend their special thanks to Kindred Health Care for their care and support of Jack during his illness.

Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in Mansfield Memorial Park with Pastor Bob Stanley officiating.
