Comments: My great grandmother was Jessie Pearl Carpenter. Her daughter Frances was my grandmother. I have been studying the Windemuth site, and I learn something new almost every day! Frances Lorraine Gilbert married Frank Kile. I am thrilled to know where at least this part of my ancestry. The history is amazing! Thank you so much! Frances and Frank did have three children. I noticed only one listed. My uncle Ken. Would love to be a member! What a small world after all!

Comments: I am one of the Great-Great-grandaughters of John W. and Mary Jane (Goodwin) Doan through their daughter Amanda Jane and her first husband Ashley Sanger. We believe he is the John W. that was the son of Moses and Mary (Wintemute) Doane based on research done by Alfred Doane for his book on the Doane family, which was first published in 1902, and my research in recent years showing that no other John W. Doan(e) who was born in Canada at the right time lived and died in either Huron or Tuscola County, MI, prior to 1900. My knowledge of the Windemuth/Wintemute/Wintermute line is still pretty limited, so I was thrilled to find your website.

Comments: For the longest time myself and 6 other siblings thought we were the only Wintermutes in the country. My oldest brother ordered the book and I am just now sitting down to read it. We know very little about our family history and hope to find we have other relatives out there. My father, Donald Wintermute, was an only child and we believe his father, George Wintermute, was also an only Child. So you see we have a very small tree to start with. I am hoping to link into this group in some way. I am not sure if the organization knows about us here in ND but if you need any information please let me know. I will give you what I know. Sorry but it isn't much.

Comments: It was fun finding your site. I am the grandson of Elsie Pierson. I see you don't have much information on that branch, and I could perhaps be of some help in filling in some dates and additional descendants.
